Vacancy: Workshop Foreman
The company would like to recruit a Workshop Foreman to be based at Phalanndwa Extension, in Delmas.
DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians or mechanics, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Your strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of the shop and the satisfaction of our customers.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Diesel mechanic trade test
Proven experience as a technician or mechanic
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures.
Previous experience in a Supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a shop or service centre environment
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
EXPERIENCE
The candidate must have least five years of experience in managing a TMM workshop at mine
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
TMM maintenance and compliance (Volvo ADTs & Exc, Bell ADTs, Cat Dozer & Grader, SDLG TLB & Grader, Toyota bakkies, Hitachi Exc, UD trucks)
Staff management, coaching, training, and conducting PTOs
Ordering of workshop consumables, job equipment and maintaining critical spares stock levels
Making sure all equipment is in good working order and keeping all certificates up to date
Maintaining and compliance of lighting plants, generators, pit pumps
Ensure backup electricity and portable water are readily available
Maintenance of facilities and office buildings
Dewatering of the pits
Site commissioning and repair work
