Vacancy: Mechanical Engineering Foreman
The company would like to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Foreman to be based at to be based at Gugulethu Colliery within the Msukaligwa Municipality.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Diesel Mechanical Trade
English proficiency
Valid driver’s license
Must have a strong electrical background in mining medium-voltage electrical reticulation network and systems.
Must have a strong technical knowledge of earth moving machinery (VOLVO, CATERPILLAR, JCB and SGDL will be advantageous)
Competent A (advantageous)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 4 years relevant supervisory experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in open-cast mining as an Engineering Foreman
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Physically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness test
Must have a clear criminal record and willing to undergo criminal check
Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate without supervision and be able to work under pressure
Be a self–starter and able to work according to targets / deadlines
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure optimal TMM utilisation & availability
Ensure TMM/equipment Troubleshooting and diagram interpretation
Ensure compliance with safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards
Shift line-up and hand-over
Technical supervision
