Vacancy: Auto Electrician X 2
The company would like to recruit two Auto Electricians Electrician to be based at Gugulethu Colliery within Msukaligwa municipality.
DESCRIPTION
To be responsible the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repairing of all auto-electrical equipment within the Auto-Electrical discipline according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
Qualified Auto-electrician Trade Certificate through a recognised institution
EXPERIENCE
TMM Mining equipment experience
Sound knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repairs of Proximity Detection Systems, TMM Camera's, two-way communication radios, lighting reticulations in TMM, and fixed plant, & real-time systems
At least 2 years proven experience in an engineering workshop, preferably in the mining environment
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Sound knowledge of troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Air conditioning systems in TMM and office buildings.
TMM Air- conditioning (advantageous)
Must be physically fit
Must be familiar with the MHSA Act
No criminal records
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in ensuring that all TMM auto electrical equipment and installations meet the required designs, installation, and maintenance standards
Ensure that all assessments of potential hazards of the operation of equipment and installations are undertaken in accordance with procedures
Maintenance and repairs of all TMM auto-electrical equipment in the open cast mine, specifically with regards to the following: Generators, ADTs, Excavators, Graders and Dozers
Ensure fixed mobile, and transportable TMM auto electrical equipment associated with hot work or live testing, installed, or operated are suitably certified in line with operational standards
Ensure that equipment is safe and suitable for use in the opencast mine
Ensure that the maintenance and overhaul of TMM auto electrical equipment installed and/or operated or intended to be installed and/or operated in accordance with relevant standards
Align with planned maintenance, including the maintenance of relevant records for all auto electrical equipment and installations in responsibility
Adherence to policies and procedures
Ensure effective communication to relevant stakeholders to minimize production delays
Upholding of safety, health, and environmental standards to achieve ZERO HARM
